Just a few months ago, an unlocked dual sim clone with real time analog TV was considered quite a novelty. For the longest time, the N99i was the best (and almost only) phone that featured both a full keyboard / scroll bar for texting and a built in TV for watching local television shows. That's no longer the case with the release of the JP969.
It seems that TV will soon become standard on the knock offs as the price really does not increase much for this feature and more of the new release imports are starting to include it. What makes the JP969 (and the N99i) standouts is that both are great texting / messaging phones.

Although many people took to messaging on the flat screen iPhone clones with the finger touch interface, there are some hard core texters that will just always prefer real, raised keys and a scroll bar. It used to be that there were very few choices for these folks, but with demand remaining high, the amount of choices are beginning to increase as well.
JP689 Features: This mobile phone is full of the standard features we've come to expect from the clones. This one is dual sim standby (two numbers or plans on one phone, but you don't have to use both.) Messaging is via WAP, GPRS, SMS, MMS, and voice mail. It includes an MP3 / MP4 player, a video recorder, Bluetooth, analog television, FM radio, and the PicBrige interface for instant printing. (I find that the MP3 player is strong, with song name, skin, or lyrics display and repeat shuffle, and background play options. Sound effects include sound equalizer, play speed, and audio 3D.)

The design has a high quality 3 inch 260k QVGA touch screen. I think one of the best features on this phone is its 3.0 mega pixel camera. Most clones have a 1.3 MP camera, so this one is definitely an upgrade that sports advanced editing features including numerous special effects features like sketch / emboss and night mode / exposure compensation.
The JP model has a talk time of 180 - 300 minutes and is expandable to up to 2GB of memory. It is a tri band which means it works with most GSM carriers. You don't need software. The phone will read your sim card. Reception is good on the television and radio and the picture is crisp.
969 Price: The price on this phone varies by quite a bit. Right now, the range is anywhere from just at $100 to around $150, which puts it in the mid priced range. However, considering all of the features and the fact that the phone is unlocked and you can use whichever low cost carrier you chose, this still seems quite fair to me.
