Allstate Insurance Company has just released a product that is proposed to help the thousands of drivers in the state of Pennsylvania over the age of 50. Allstate’s motto for business is “you’re in good hands”, and with the release of this new product elderly drivers in Pennsylvania will be in better hands. Pennsylvania accident lawyers have dealt with many automobile accident lawsuits that have involved drivers over the age of 50. One of the reasons why Pennsylvania was chosen for this trial is because out of all of the locations where Allstate Insurance Company insures, Pennsylvania has one of the highest automobile accident rates for drivers over the age of 50.
This brand new product is called InSight. Posit Science, who is the leading inventor of brain fitness programs, developed InSight. The two companies entered a contract because Allstate feels that this new program can improve the mind of the driver so much that it will decrease the amount of accidents in Pennsylvania. With hundreds of safety precautions being developed every day, InSight could be the pioneer program that will change how drivers think. InSight could be the solution for the thousands of lawsuits being brought up to Pennsylvania accident lawyers every year because of elderly driving. How InSight works is having drivers that are 50 years old, or older, use a software program that will reverse the cognitive decline due to age, and it will also increase the attentiveness of the driver. In order to develop this new product Posit Science worked with many prominent scientists to find out how they could make a product that improves the driver’s memory, and speed up the processing speed of the brain, which consequently makes drivers more alert and less apt to get in a car accident. There have been more than 20 reports done on the effects of this program on drivers between the ages of 50 and 75, and with this program it has been found to do exactly what Allstate, and Posit Science say it does. It speeds up the brain processing, which in turn significantly decreases the amount of accidents as a result of the aging brain.
The impact of there being more drivers on Pennsylvania roads than ever before has affected both Pennsylvania accident lawyers with more accident lawsuits than ever, and more importantly the safety of traveling on Pennsylvania state roads. Studies have been done about the rate that the brain processing speed decreases and how it affects driving and it has been found to be a huge contributor to more accidents. These studies are done in a variety of ways, one of the easiest ways to determine this is the rate at which two test subject press a button when a light flashes on a screen. For people in their 20’s and early 30’s it takes an average of .25 seconds, for a person in their 60’s or 70’s this may take up to .35 seconds to accomplish. Although that is less than a .10 decrease that .10 is what will make the difference in being able to make that split second decision to avoid another driver.
